Catalog description

Synthesis of the health, social, community, and physical factors of climate change that are related to public health outcomes. Topics include basic climate science; human health effects from vector-, water-, and foodborne diseases; disaster and weather-related health effects; and strategies to minimize or mitigate adverse public health outcomes. Focus on health disparities related to climate change especially in places with low socioeconomic status and inadequate environmental health conditions. Emphasis on the role of societal and individual ethics in climate-related health disparities.
