The course offers opportunities for practical application of concepts and skills introduced in special education courses in prerequisite and current courses. Requirements include direct observations, planning, and teaching under the supervision of a cooperating teacher and university supervisor in settings with persons receiving services and supports under IDEA. The course requires a minimum of 120 direct contact hours.
