Catalog description

The course provides students with a background in macroeconomic theory and macroeconometrics. The macroeconomic theory covered has an emphasis on dynamic general equilibrium models. Applications to business cycles, fiscal and monetary policies, and growth theory are studied. The course also provides econometric tools and analytical skills needed to measure empirical regularities, evaluate causal effects at the aggregate level, and forecast macroeconomic indicators.
