Catalog description

This course introduces the fundamental concepts, principles, and tools of data analytics. Students learn core techniques for sourcing, cleaning, processing, exploring, and presenting data while working with real datasets using software applications. Students examine real-world data analytics projects, critically analyzing published work to understand its strengths and limitations. The class concludes with professional development topics, including presentation skills and the ethical and legal issues common in contemporary data analytics.
