Students engage in a range of Contemporary Dance practices from global perspectives including floorwork, improvisation, partnering, dynamic movement sequences, and experiential anatomy to develop strength, coordination, flexibility, stamina, body and spatial awareness, and musicality. Through studio-based movement classes as well as readings, viewings, and discussions, students explore the history, practitioners, and spectrum of movement styles within the field.
