Catalog description

This course provides as introduction to criminal justice research methods. Students learn how to evaluate current and conduct contemporary research in the field of criminal justice. Students are introduced to terminology and tools of the scientific method. Several data collection techniques available to criminal justice researchers are explored and evaluated. Students learn how to evaluate academic research products in terms of their contribution to the fields of criminal justice, as well as to how to develop their own research problems.
