Catalog description

This course provides students with the opportunity to connect, transfer, and apply their academic training to help answer research questions and, in the process, develop critical thinking skills through independent work in a research lab setting. By examining larger research projects, students ascertain skills transferable to their careers through advanced techniques and innovations such as experimental design, data analysis, literature publications, and presentations. This hands-on experience supports the communication of information in a professional manner and allows for ample self-reflection through feedback from the student’s mentor.
