Catalog description

This course explores the intersections of religion, politics, and civic life in the United States. Students analyze foundational civic texts in conversation with religious and philosophical writings that have shaped American civic identity. Through close reading, discussion, oral exams, and written reflection, students develop critical civic literacy, contextual understanding, and effective communication skills.
