Catalog description

This course emphasizes the use of design strategies addressing user’s physiological, informational, and social needs to create supportive environmental designs. This includes investigations in how building form, materiality and human factors affect designed space composition. In creating supportive environmental designs, investigations include research, programming, analysis, theory, ideation and conceptualization, schematic design, project evaluation, refinement, materials, finishes, detailing, furnishings, lighting, communication graphics, and formal presentation.
