Foundations of Artificial Intelligence

Catalog description

This course introduces students to the main foundational techniques used in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including knowledge representation, heuristic search, solving optimization problems through algorithmic and numerical methods, basics of machine learning and deep learning. Students are introduced to a number of traditional AI approaches, as well as their applications in the real world. Programming-based assignments enable students to get a feel for AI techniques.
