Understanding Children?s and Young Adult Literature

Catalog description

This course is intended to introduce all students in the Literacies, Literature, and English Education program to children?s and young adult literature across various genres and formats (e.g., graphic novels, picturebooks, etc.) with attention to using these books in K-12 classroom settings for literacy instruction while also analyzing and appreciating them as literary works of art. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for EduTL 7451.
