This course explores language teacher education over 30 years, considering evolving goals in relation to local and national language teaching priorities (e.g., Bilingual Education, TESOL). Theoretical frameworks and research methods used in investigating teacher learning will be examined, critically evaluating their relevance to evolving education priorities. Prereq: Grad admission as a foreign and 2nd lang ed program major or in an equiv. program related to global ed, multicultural ed, or a foreign language major in one of the OSU lang. dept (e.g., Spanish, German, Chinese). Not open to students with credit for EduTL 8620.
