Catalog description

This course will cover the biochemical basis for diseases commonly diagnosed or monitored using tests performed in the clinical chemistry laboratory. The basics of the methods used to perform the tests will be discussed as well as their interpretation. Techniques used to evaluate the validity of testing will be covered. Prereq: Chem 1206, 1208, 1210 or above, and Biochem 2210 or above, and admission to the Medical Laboratory Science online MLT Articulation program; or Chem 1206, 1208 or 1210 and Chem 1220, and admission to the Medical Laboratory Science Minor program; or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 5300.
