Catalog description

This course is intended to help students develop an intuitive understanding of the design concepts for machinery and mechanisms. Topics covered are: kinematic joints, mobility analysis, kinematic synthesis of planar linkages, computer-aided design of mechanisms, kinematic analysis, Cam motion program synthesis, and cam profile design. Prereq: 2020, 2030, 2850.xx and MatScEn 2010; and enrollment as MechEng-BS student; or permission of department.
