Application of design principles and methodology to conceptual and detailed technical design, implementation and testing, culminating in a capstone design project. Prereq: Honors standing; and 3905 and 3090, or 3906; and permission of department. Not open to students with credit for 4900, 4900H, 4901, Engr 5902.01 or 5902.01H. 4998.01 Undergraduate Research U ½ - 3 Supervised undergraduate research in various topics. Prereq: Permission of instructor. Repeatable to a maximum of 6 cr hrs or 6 completions. 4998.01H Undergraduate Honors Research U ½ - 3 Supervised research in various topics for undergraduate honors students. Prereq: Honors standing; or GPA 3.4 or above, and permission of instructor. Repeatable to a maximum of 6 cr hrs or 6 completions. 4998.02 Undergraduate Research U ½ - 3 Supervised undergraduate research in various topics. Prereq: Permission of instructor. Repeatable to a maximum of 6 cr hrs or 6 completions. This course is graded S/U. 4999.01 Undergraduate Thesis Research U ½ - 3 Undergraduate Thesis (Distinction) research on topics in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Prereq: GPA 3.0 or above, and enrollment in ECE major, and approved Thesis (Distinction) project.
