Catalog description

The goal of this course is to introduce trainees to the fundamental algorithms and data analysis skills needed to understand and analyze long read sequencing data sets, including genomics, transcriptomics, epitranscriptomics and epigenetics data. This course is intended to be taken after BMI 7031 Analysis of Genomics Data. Students will be expected to have a broad overview of the field of bioinformatics, an introductory familiarity with high performance computing and the Linux environment, a basic familiarity with statistics, and basic familiarity with the R statistical software environment.
