The course provides students with an opportunity to apply, showcase, fine-tune and expand the skills and knowledge acquired in courses in the program by working through substantive real- world analytics projects from initial conception to the production of useful insights and improved decisions. Prereq: BusOBA 7248, and enrollment in SMB-Analytics program. Cross-listed in BusOBA. 7250 Time Series and Forecasting G 1½ This course is designed to familiarize students with various methods for analyzing time series market data, and how these methods can be used to reduce uncertainty in managerial decisions. The course will be a mixture of lecture, lab work, an exam, and a student-lead project, all focused on developing hands-on experience in business forecasting using the R software package. Prereq: Enrollment in SMB-Analytics program, or permission of instructor. 7251 Retail Managment G 1½ Course provides students with an introduction to basic concepts needed to run a successful retail organization in today?s competitive environment. Reviews and discusses distribution channels, key issues, and strategic decisions that retailers face as they design and effectively manage retail and e-commerce operations. Examines how history and current trends impact the future of retailing.
