Applied Healthcare Analytics

Catalog description

An introduction to healthcare data analytics. The course will discuss how analytics are used in operational performance improvement, quality improvement, productivity assessment, value- based care initiatives and healthcare research. The course requires the use of commonly used statistical methods including both descriptive and inferential statistics as well as creating charts and graphs. Prereq: 5551 and 5610, or enrollment in Medical Coding and Healthcare Data Analytics for Practice Certificate, or permission of instructor.
