Advanced Food Microbiology

Catalog description

This course is designed to help students to build a comprehensive understanding about foodborne microorganisms and gut microbiota and their interactions with the environment and with the host. Genetics and molecular biology approaches important for studying foodborne microorganisms, microbiome, and cutting edge techniques in solving industrial food microbial problems will be introduced. Prereq: Grad standing, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for Microbio 7536. Cross-listed in Micrbio.
