Catalog description

In this course students study the basic elements of rhetoric and rhetorical representations of various historically constituted categories, including race, gender, and ethnicity, and use rhetoric as a lens for examining messages about race, gender, and ethnicity. Students analyze the ways that these categories are rhetorically constructed and the material consequences of those constructions. Prereq: English 1110.xx; or GE foundation writing and info literacy course.
