Experimental Insect Physiology and Molecular Biology

Catalog description

This laboratory course uses both classical and cutting-edge experimental techniques to uncover aspects of insect biology. We will conduct a series of novel experiments on diapausing and non- diapausing model insects to show physiological and molecular mechanisms used to survive w inter. The course goal is to create a student co-authored manuscript to submit to the Journal of Insect Physiology. Prereq or concur: 6310.
