Studies the macroeconomic implications of discrete decisions by heterogeneous agents and assesses quantitative DSGE models. Topics include: lumpy adjustments, non-convex adjustment costs, and the interactions of real and financial frictions. Prereq: 724, or 809, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 820.
