Introduction to current economic issues facing the Middle East; similarities and differences in Middle Eastern countries' growth, inflation, unemployment, fiscal and monetary policy, imports, exports, foreign debt and exchange rate policy. Prereq: 2001.01, 2001.02 (200), 2001.03H (200H), or AEDEcon 2001 (200), and 2002.01, 2002.02 (201), or 2002.03H (201H), or equiv.
