Simulation of building energy consumption under various design or retrofit scenarios. Prediction of the impact of design decisions and energy conservation measures on building energy consumption. Employment of EnergyPlus and OpenStudio, free but sophisticated and open source building energy modeling tools, to develop and simulate a model of a real building. Prereq: Grad standing in the College of Engineering, or permission of instructor.
