Introduction to Global Studies

Catalog description

Course provides interdisciplinary examination of global studies and of global interdependence in the modern age and introduces students to various disciplines within the social sciences and the distinct perspectives and approaches used by social scientists in seeking to understand the process of globalization. Content includes examination of historical, ecological, cultural, technological and political-economic global developments. Course focuses on perspectives and methodologies from two or more of the following social science disciplines: history, economics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and/or political science.
