Topics in Spanish Culture

Catalog description

This course explores topics of historical or contemporary interest specific to Spain through the examination of Spanish culture from pre-Roman times to the 21st century. Students will garner a better understanding of Spanish identity, explore cultural themes and historical issues that have shaped Spain and examine how culture reflects everyday life. Students will examine a representative selection of works from a time periods selected by the instructor. 3 Lecture hours. Taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: SP 301 or NU Placement test score of 536 or higher. Offered: Fall.
