Topics in Sociology

Catalog description

This course explores specialized topics in sociology allowing students to examine contemporary and theoretical issues related to social structures, institutions and human behavior. Topics vary by semester and may include areas such as social behavior, inequality, cultural dynamics or institutional structures. Through critical analysis, discussion and research, students will engage with sociological theories and methodologies to deepen their understanding of complex social phenomena. Repeatable up to 6 different course topics. Prerequisite: Grade of D+ of higher in SO 101 or SO 201. Offered: Occasionally.
