Introduction to Sociology

Catalog description

An introduction to the study of social life, including the basic theories functionalism, conflict theory and interactionism and methods surveys, experiments, observation, archival research of sociology. Topics include culture and socialization, social organization and stratification and specific structures e.g., family, education and media. A student with credit in SO 201 cannot receive additional credit for this course. Offered: Fall, Spring.
