Problem Solving for Physics I

Studio like course where physics or related fields, students from all years work on various self-contained modules under the supervision of a faculty member. Modules are designed to help students develop critical problem solving skills in mathematics and physics, cover specific topics not typically included in the regular offerings and acquire transferable skills. Examples of module topics include algebraic manipulations, order of magnitude estimates and dimensional analysis, reading data sets and plots and basic programming. May be repeated for no more than two credits and a different topic. Restriction: Physics majors/minors. Offered: Fall, Spring.
