Catalog description

An integration of physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental and sociocultural dimensions of adult health to deliver safe, evidence based care. Emphasis is placed on musculoskeletal, endocrine, immune, integumentary, gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. Learners apply clinical reasoning, therapeutic communications and leadership skills to manage complex adult conditions, promote wellness and prevent complications. Restriction: Nursing, Junior or higher. Prerequisites: Grade of C+ or higher in all of NURS 206, NURS 206S, NR 211, NURS 217, NURS 217L, NURS 217S, NR 261. Corequisite: NURS 316L. Offered: Fall, Spring.
