Organizational Nursing Leadership Practicum

Catalog description

This practicum course provides Clinical Nurse Leader CNL graduate students with experiential learning opportunities to apply leadership principles in complex healthcare environments. Building on the theoretical foundations explored in the seminar, students will engage in hands-on practice focused on healthcare innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural humility and the strategic implementation of healthcare technologies. Emphasis is places on real-world applications of resource management, strategic planning and sustainability of leadership initiatives. By the end of the practicum, students will demonstrate the ability to assess, implement and evaluate leadership strategies that enhance patient outcomes, improve healthcare delivery and strengthen organizational performance. This course includes the completion of 100 practicum hours. Prerequisites: NR 720 and NR 720L. Grade of B or higher. Corequisite: NR 722. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
