Catalog description

This seminar course provides Clinical Nurse Leader CNL graduate students with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead within complex healthcare organizations. Through the exploration of key leadership topics such as healthcare innovation, team collaboration, cultural humility and the strategic integration of healthcare technologies, students will develop the ability to promote a culture of safety, inclusion and continuous improvement. Emphasis is placed on effective resource management, strategic planning and sustainability of leadership initiatives. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to assess, implement and sustain leadership strategies that improve patient outcomes, healthcare delivery and organizational effectiveness. Prerequisites: NR 720 and NR 720L. Grade of B or higher. Corequisite: NR 722L. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
