Catalog description

This course serves as the last of five seminars devoted to the application of nurse practitioner knowledge to the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP specialty. Students will refine their ability to lead, advocate and practice within their population focus area while fostering holistic well-being for patients and themselves. This course complements and enhances the clinical knowledge and skills gained in NR 709L. By the end of this course, students will demonstrate competence and proficiency with the requisite knowledge and skills of the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner profession. Prerequisites: NR 708 and NR 708L. Grade of B or higher. Corequisite: NR 709L. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
