Catalog description

This course serves as the third of five clinical courses devoted to the application of foundational nurse practitioner knowledge to the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP specialty. With a focus on evidence based practice, therapeutic communication, care coordination and well being, students will apply knowledge to hands on clinical experiences. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to advance to the next seminar and clinical course in the PMHNP track. Prerequisites: NR 706 and NR 706L. Grade of B or higher. Corequisite: NR 707. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
