Catalog description

This course serves as the first of five clinical courses devoted to the application of foundational nurse practitioner knowledge to the Psychiatric-Mental Health Practitioner specialty PMHNP. With a focus on interprofessional partnerships, communication and teamwork within the healthcare setting, students will apply previous knowledge to hands-on clinical experiences. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to advance to the next seminar and clinical course in the PMHNP track. This course includes 150 clinical hours. Prerequisite: NR 698. Grade of B or higher. Corequisite: NR 705. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
