Catalog description

This course serves as the first of five seminars devoted to application of foundational nurse practitioner knowledge to the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP specialty. With a focus on interprofessional partnerships, communication and teamwork within the healthcare setting, this course complements and enhances the clinical knowledge and skills gained in NR 705L. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to advance to the next seminar and clinical course in the PMHNP track. Prerequisite: NR698. Grade of B or better. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
