Catalog description

This course provides Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) students with an introduction to the role of the CNL. Emphasizing the integration of ethical frameworks, the course explores the principles of social justice, health equity and the social determinants of health. The course covers the effective use of data analytics and healthcare technologies to identify gaps in care, drive quality improvement and promote equitable healthcare deliver. Students will learn to design and implement evidence based, patient centered interventions that address healthcare disparities and improve quality outcomes. Through a focus on interprofessional collaboration, students will develop the skills needed to lead teams in making decisions that enhance patient care and outcomes. Corequisites: NR 607L. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
