Mental Health Care Across the Lifespan

Catalog description

This course prepares nurse practitioner students with the advanced skills and knowledge necessary to provide a wide range of psychiatric/mental health services to patients across the lifespan. Emphasizing evidence-based practices and interprofessional collaboration, students will learn to diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to apply specialized knowledge to the clinical setting. Prerequisites: NR 602, NR 642, NR 648 and NR 658. Grade of B or higher. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
