Fundamentals of Mental Health Assessment and Diagnosis

Catalog description

This course provides the foundational principles of mental health assessment and diagnosis for common mental health disorders. Students will learn to gather comprehensive patient information essential for the formulation of differential diagnoses and understanding the diagnostic process. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to utilize fundamental assessment and diagnostic skills for future application in the clinical setting. Prerequisites: NR 548, NR 552, NR 505, NR 505L and NR 598. Grade of B or higher. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
