Community Health Nursing - Principles and Practices

This course explores the foundational principles and practices of community health nursing. Students will learn about the role of the nurse in promoting and protecting the health of populations, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention and the management of chronic conditions. Emphasis is places on understanding the social determinants of health and developing skills in community assessment, program planning and evaluation. Corequisite: NR 570L.
