Catalog description

This course equips nursing students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to leverage informatics and system-based practices in delivering safe, high-quality care. Students will explore how data, information systems, and healthcare technologies interface with organizational structures, mission/vision/values, and quality improvement initiatives to transform care delivery. Ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to health data integrity, patient privacy, and technology use are integrated throughout the course. Restriction: Nursing majors. Prerequisite: Grade of C+ or higher in NR 103. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
