Catalog description
International business dealings require an understanding that the rules of engagement will differ from setting to setting. Students will be taught introductory intercultural communication theories as well as how to conduct themselves in a variety of environments across the globe. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognize that culturally competent individuals know when they need to change the way they communicate, how to change the way they communicate to be more effective and how to manage and negotiate breakdowns in communications to be successful in their endeavors. 3 Lecture hours. Offered: Fall, Spring.
