Catalog description
This course is designed for liberal arts majors to explore and prepare for their postgraduation career options. Students will learn about and reflect on the kinds of skills cultivated by the choice of major, their individual strengths and interests, the kinds of jobs activities and careers that might complement these. Students also will investigate specific work environments, Corporations and non profits and visit workplaces where professionals are putting their liberal arts backgrounds to use. In addition students will learn about the role that internships, undergraduate research and networking play in career development and advancement and map out a plan for integrating professional development into their college careers. If taken previously as a topics course, no credit can be received. Offered: Fall.
