Catalog description
An engrossing exposure to the themes and complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Its focus is historical and conceptual, requiring students to apply their learning through critical evaluation of contemporary events and conditions. Participants learn the history of conflict and grapple with recurring obstacles to peace, including practical issues of security as well as abstract issues of culture, identity, and religion. Students are required to view the conflict from both a national community perspective and to critically analyze different models for resolving the conflict.
