An introduction to the 4600-million-year history of the evolution of Earth and life. Data and scientific theories for Earth history are presented for major Earth events. The lab focuses on fossil and rock identification, interpretation of ancient environments, and use of the rock record to reconstruct Earth's evolution. 3 Lecture hours and 2 Lab hours.
