Catalog description

The central focus of Environmental Science is to understand and monitor interactions between human and natural systems. Topics in Applied Environmental Science focuses on these interactions and how they are studied and used to address current environmental challenges. The scientific principles and processes behind environmental issues will be explored to better understand both the causes and solutions to environmental challenges. Topics vary by course but strive for relevancy and connections with society and will include experiential learning such as experiments,case studies, environmental assessment or a service project. Course may be repeanted with a different title/topic up to 4 times; this includes any topic offered as a 199 course with the same title. Offered: Fall, even years.
