A course in statics of elementary engineering mechanics. Topics include vector notation; force systems, moments, equilibrium, the free body diagram; friction, simple frames, trusses, beams, centroids and second moments. 3 Lecture hours. Prerequisites: MA 122 and PS 211, D- or higher or concurrent enrollment.
