Catalog description

A course on principles of energy conversion in electromechanical devices and machines. Topics include analysis of transformers, polyphase synchronous and induction machines, DC machines, variable reluctance and stepper motors, and semiconductor converters. 3 Lecture hours and 2 Lab hours. Prerequisite: D- or higher in EE 356. D- or higher in MA 224 or concurrent enrollment. Offered: Spring
