Catalog description

A study of principles and methods of analysis of electric circuits with both direct and time-varying sources in steady state. Network theorems are developed and applied to the analysis of networks, including KCL, KVL, mesh and nodal techniques. Properties of energy storage elements are developed. First order and second order circuits with forced and natural responses are covered. Sinusoidal analysis, complex numbers, and phasor diagrams are introduced. 3 Lecture hours. Prerequisite: MA 122 or concurrent enrollment.
