Catalog description

Students explore the curriculum and instructional strategies associated with the subjects taught in K-12 learning environments. Knowledge and research in child growth and development is used as a guide for determining the curriculum materials and procedures that are suitable for students. Students complete parts of the Vermont Licensure Portfolio and they collaborate with peers to demonstrate their competencies in the Core Teaching standards. Required for all Education and Physical Education students. 4 Lecture hours and 30 Practicum hours required. Prerequisite: ED 234. Restrictions: Education and Physical Education students. Goal 7.
